1. What is RELEIRA™?

RELEIRA is a supplement designed to provide nutritional support for mares, weanlings and yearlings. RELEIRA provides critical nutrients like Vitamin D3, Vitamin E and DHA. Our DHA is from an all-vegetarian, fish oil free source of Omega-3 fatty acid that supports reproduction, gestation and foal development. When fed to stallions, RELEIRA supports semen quality.

3. What is the source of the DHA used in RELEIRA?

The DHA used in RELEIRA come from a vegetarian micro-algae source and flaxseed meal.

4. How is your Omega-3 source different than Omega-3 found in fish oil?

The micro-algae used are grown in an FDA-inspected facility and do not contain oceanic pollutants or toxins that may be found in some fish sources. Because horses are by nature vegetarians, Omega-3 from fish oil has been shown to cause palatability issues. Furthermore, micro-algae are a sustainable source of Omega-3, whereas some fish oils may not be. RELEIRA is free of genetically modified organisms.

5. Is RELEIRA safe for pregnant mares?

Yes, RELEIRA is manufactured from all Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) approved feed ingredients and is safe for pregnant mares in the recommended servings. The nutrients in RELEIRA, when fed to pregnant mares, have been shown to optimize brain, eye and cardiovascular development in the developing fetus.

6. What benefits does RELEIRA provide to my breeding stallion?

RELEIRA, when fed to stallions, supports reproductive function including sperm production and sperm motility. Added benefits include enhancement in performance, trainability and support of hair coat quality.

7. What benefits does RELEIRA provide to my broodmare & foal?

RELEIRA, when fed to broodmares, supports progesterone production and ovulation in the mare. Fed during gestation and while nursing, long-chain-omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to support the immune system and may also assist in healthy brain and eye development of the foal. Studies have also shown enhancement of blood plasma levels.

8. How often should my horse receive RELEIRA?

For best results, breeding stock should be started on RELEIRA 60 days prior to collecting or breeding. You may also choose to use RELEIRA year-round in broodmares.

9. How do I feed RELEIRA?

Feed 60 grams (one scoop included) per 1,100 lb of body weight daily with normal ration, or use guide below.

Weanlings: 0.5 scoop
Yearlings: 1 scoop
Mares: 1 scoop
Stallions: 2 scoops

10. In what form is RELEIRA available?

RELEIRA is available in a powder form, in convenient pails of 45, 75 and 120 servings.

11. How should I store RELEIRA?

RELEIRA should be stored in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and resealed between uses.

12. Will my horse eat RELEIRA?

In palatability tests, RELEIRA has been shown to be highly palatable. Allow three days for your horse to acclimate to feeding the supplement.
