Olympic rider Pablo Barrios, of Venezuela, is a well-known name on the Winter Equestrian Festival circuit, and during the sixth week of the 2011 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival Barrios and G&C Sinatra won the Arenus Performance and Conditioning Award. G&C Sinatra was recognized for his excellent performance and physical conditioning during the $50,000 C&C Farm Palm Beach Jumping Derby.

Shawna Harding and her Danish Warmblood gelding, Come On III, have already proven themselves a top level Grand Prix team in the United States, and during the Wellington Classic Dressage Spring Challenge CDI the pair also rode away as the winner of the Arenus Performance and Conditioning Award. Brianne Goutal and her winning speed horse, Mon Gamin, sped to victory as part of the women’s team in the Nespresso Battle of the Sexes during the fourth week of the 2011 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival. While Goutal and Mon Gamin helped the women clinch the Battle of the Sexes title, Mon Gamin also rode away as the winner of the Arenus Performance and Conditioning Award.

Brazilian Olympic Gold medalist Rodrigo Pessoa rode away as the winner of the Arenus Performance and Conditioning Award aboard Champ 163 during the third week of the 2011 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival. Champ 163, owned by Legacy Stables LLC, finished ninth in the 1.50m Jumper Classic.

Reining champion Shawn Flarida has added another win to his long and impressive resume, riding away with the 2010 National Reining Horse Rider of the Year title. Jordan Larson, the youngest rider on the National Reining Horse Association’s (NRHA) Top 20 Riders list for the past two years, rode away as the winner of the Arenus Performance and Conditioning Award during the 2010 NRHA Futurity. Larson, who won the Individual Gold Medal at the FEI World Reining Championship in Italy last year, won the Arenus Performance and Conditioning Award at the Futurity aboard Mr. Jerry Lee Surpriz.
